TS Technology Services Wins Service Contract for BT’s AXE 10 Digital Exchange Equipment

TS Technology Services, one of the industry’s leading providers of integrated supply chain service solutions to the telecommunications market, has won a major new contract to service and upgrade a number of BT’s AXE 10 digital telephone exchange systems.

The contract involves upgrading and repairing the LIC8 boards used in BT’s AXE 10 digital exchange, including relay replacement to ensure reliable operation of the equipment which has been providing digital telephone exchange facilities in the UK for many years, and will continue to be key until the transition to BT’s advanced new 21st Century Network (21CN) internet protocol-based network is completed.

As part of this contract, TS Technology Services has set up a comprehensive service for the AXE 10 products at its main Solihull facility. This included developing and installing customised facilities capable of testing hundreds of AXE 10 boards a week.

Martin Child, Support Contracts Manager for BT, said: “TS Technology Services were able to demonstrate their ability to meet the stringent requirements of BT to provide the highest level of service and support for our customers as we transition from our existing technology to the latest 21CN technology.”

“This BT contract for AXE 10 servicing was won against considerable competition,” said Dean Parker, TS Technology Services’ Business Development Executive.  “Our success resulted from building up a strong relationship with BT and demonstrating our track record in providing complete service and maintenance solutions for major technology providers.”
