TS Technology Services wins major contract for the next generation telecommunications network in the UK
TS Technology Services, one of the UK’s leading providers of integrated supply chain service solutions to the telecommunications market, has been chosen as a major partner by Huawei to undertake the installation and commissioning of their Next Generation Network (NGN) equipment into BT’s 21st Century Network (BT21CN). BT21CN is one of the largest single procurement and installation programmes being undertaken in the communications industry, involving an investment from BT of up to £10 billion over the next 5 years, and puts the UK at the leading edge of internet protocol (IP) communications technology.
TS Technology Services were awarded the multi-million pound contract by Huawei after a rigorous 12 month selection process. The contract includes site surveys, installation, and commissioning of Huawei’s range of fibre optical transmission systems and broadband equipment, which will play a vital role in BT’s revolutionary NGN IP network. This service will be of strategic importance in giving UK businesses access to advanced next generation internet and communications services.
