TS Technology Services, one of the leading providers of fully integrated supply chain service solutions to the telecommunications industry, has been awarded a Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Silver Award based on its safety record during 2007.
David Rushton, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment Manager for TS Technology Services, explained: “TS Technology Services employ almost 200 people based in five locations around the UK. A number of these employees are external maintenance engineers who may climb masts, towers and pylons as part of their everyday work. Based on the requirement to report any serious accidents and injuries resulting in more than three days sickness under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), TS Technology Services had no reportable incidents throughout 2007.”
On this basis, TS Technology Services applied for, and was awarded, the RoSPA Silver Award for the occupational health and safety industry sector. These competitive awards recognise organisations that have shown the best health and safety management performance within specific industry sectors. Winners must demonstrate a consistently excellent or continuously improving performance, with exceptional standards of health and safety management.
